St Mary’s is a typical Newport building: on a hill with a lot of steps. On 10 June, work will start on giving the church step-free access from Blyth Street, to install a new toilet, and to install kitchen facilities in the back of the building. This will make the church into a far more accessible space, able to accommodate a range of community events.
