O Lord, support us all the day long of this troublous life, until the shades lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, the fever of life is over, and our work is done. Then, Lord, in your mercy grant us safe lodging, a holy rest, and peace at the last; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Sometimes a Crematorium can seem an inhospitable and stark place when one is grieving and people often comment on how wonderful it was to have a loved one’s funeral in St Mary’s. Pastoral support is given to those who grieve before and after the service has taken place and the Rector is happy to discuss with the family what they want for the Service.
